Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from your hotel in Zanzibar, depending on your hotel location and scheduled flight time.
You will take a morning flight at approximately 6:00 AM or 8:00 AM to Mikumi National Park. The flight takes approximately 45 minutes.
Upon arrival at Mikumi Airstrip, you will be welcomed by your professional safari driver-guide, who will provide a short safari briefing before starting your adventure.
You will then depart for a game drive in Mikumi National Park in a comfortable 4×4 open safari jeep, giving you an excellent opportunity to experience Tanzania’s wildlife up close.
During the safari, you may have the opportunity to see some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, and, with some luck, leopards.

Lunch & Safari Experience Around midday, you will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch at the Bandas area, a designated place where you can relax, enjoy your meal, and take in the beautiful surroundings. After lunch, you will continue with the game drive, exploring more of Mikumi National Park and looking for wildlife before heading back to the airstrip. In the late afternoon, you will be transferred to Mikumi Airstrip for your scheduled return flight to Zanzibar at approximately 4:00 PM.
